This was a question I asked myself MANY times. So many times.⁠
And unfortunately, I was told there was no reason for it and to just deal with it.⁠
And while I am/was so grateful that I didn’t have a serious diagnosis (every Dr was sure I had celiacs disease or Chrons - but the many tests I did always came back negative thankfully) I was still in pain and struggling every day.⁠
Was it in my head?⁠
Was I being a wuss and over-dramatic?⁠
Did everyone just struggle with this level of pain, embarrassment, and diarrhea and I just missed the memo?⁠

This is something I have been learning and leaning This is something I have been learning and leaning into SO MUCH since having my twins.

The way you treat your body and the way you eat is The way you treat your body and the way you eat is meant to be a reflection of, a celebration of, a picture of, you as a worthy, loved, beautiful, holy, divine and important person. 
Health is not about getting those things - it’s about it realising you already are those things and therefore your choices changes. When you really get and believe that you are so important - then treating your body well is SO easy and obvious.

We often think about doing less. We think ‘yes, I could be less overwhelmed, I could be less stressed, but the cost of that is that my stomach doesn’t actually change, my belly doesn’t change, my energy doesn’t change. I actually don’t see those practical, tangible results.’ But that is not the case.⁣

So, how do you do less things and keep making progress, and how do you really accelerate your progress?⁣

Let’s say you’re sitting here at the start of the year and you’re just feeling tired, frumpy, burned out. You’re too tired and overwhelmed to figure out where to begin. You suspect you’ve maybe got gut issues or maybe thyroid issues. You suspect there’s some stuff going on. Maybe you’ve had test results, maybe you haven’t. Maybe you’ve been told everything’s fine and you’re like looking down the barrel of this year and looking back maybe at the previous years and thinking ‘oh my goodness, I’ve felt like this for ages and it’s not changed. I’ve tried to shift this and I haven’t gotten to where I want to be.’⁣

If you’re already tired and burned out and a bit fatigued and overwhelmed, the idea of working on your health can feel like another overwhelming, fatiguing, tiring thing.⁣

Why I was such a frustrated unhealthy mess a decad Why I was such a frustrated unhealthy mess a decade ago.

I was 25 and by then I was doing lots of ‘good’ healthy things. I was eating whole food, making my own kefir, and sourdough and I exercised and was mindful of sugar and caffeine.

So I was putting in the effort.

I read books and blogs and googled things constantly.

But I was still struggling. I was tired, my hormones were painful and heavy, and I struggled with diarrhoea daily, iBS, and fatigue and that was the beginning of my joint issues and back issues (I used to have loads of back problems FYI!)

And I was pissed - cos I felt like I was putting in more effort than 99% of the people around me with food and healthy habits
yet I was struggling MORE than they were..

Dr's told me everything was normal. I had MRI’s, a sigmoidoscopy, blood tests and all the things and was told I was ‘fine'.

But I was struggling.
Why?

I didn’t know why.
I didn’t know what my root causes were.
Or said another way I had NO IDEA what the problem was.

I was just hoping that my kefir or my lentils or random supplements would help.

I am guessing you are reading this or listen to my podcast because you want to feel better.

You want to ditch the awful hormones, the belly fat the IBS, the disordered eating
