HELLO LOVELIES! Update from me: - I am doing well HELLO LOVELIES! Update from me:
- I am doing well and the twins so far are growing well. Been quiet here as between pregnancy and being fully booked with clients I am being super strategic about how I spend my energy. 
- Instagram has changed its T&Cs as of 21st Dec which mean you are automatically consenting to all sorts of new things I am not ok with. I need to research and find out how I can stay here and connected to you all without my privacy being violated, sold and used in ways I am unhappy with. 
I’ll be back when I know how to do it in a way that brings me peace and will let you know.

HOORAY!!! I am 19 weeks pregnant and now able to w HOORAY!!!
I am 19 weeks pregnant and now able to walk around (a little bit), haven’t puked in weeks, am off my meds,  feel hungry most of time and can sit up straight and do my consults with clients for long periods of time (read 60 mins).
Glory be.
And with twins coming generally at 37 weeks if not before I am more than HALF WAY THROUGH. 
Thank the lord.
Loving being able to work a wee bit more (why hello there the Happy & Balanced Hormones Program starring on 19th October!!) be able to get outside, and enjoy food more.
Yes my hips and pelvis (hello old friend of SPD) are now super sore, I am tired and still nauseous - but I am counting ALL  the wins.

CELEBRATING YOUR WINS. 💫🔥⭐️🙌 After wo CELEBRATING YOUR WINS.

After working with thousands of client I have noticed a few things - one of the most prevalent being this:
We don't celebrate our wins.
And instead we waste energy thinking and beating ourselves up about everything we have yet to do/accomplish/be.
For example:
This is a plate of sardines on GF toast with kethcup. I could critique the hell out of it.
+Plastic plate - WRONG - PLASTIC IS EVIL
+Ketchup - FULL OF SUGAR
+GF bread - FULL OF FILLERS
+No Veggies - AND YOU CALL NUTRITIONIST!!
etc.
But instead, I am CELEBRATING this. 
Why? 
I am pregnant with twins and have been severely sick and bedridden eating anything that would stay down (not much) and in survival mode, trying to avoid hospital admission. Eating nutrient-dense foods was not something I had capacity for.

But now I am feeling a bit better the fact that I can eat sardines (which are SO amazing for you FYI. Full of calcium, omega 3 fat, protein - they are so good!) is something I am proud of. So what it its drowned in ketchup?🤷‍♀️
Get the idea lovely?
Quit critiquing all the tiny things you HAVEN'T done or that one thing you ate that had sugar in and spend time being proud of yourself and proud of your PROGRESS.
DEAL?

Yep - baby number 2 is in the making and coming at you in March 2021.

So if you’ve been wondering why the radio silence from me - here’s why! I am severely sick and basically bed ridden with this pregnancy. Thankfully I’ve avoided the hospital and now found some meds to stop the 🤮 - but it’s been really hard (massive understatement).
But super grateful for Harry Potter audio books, family helping out, getting pregnant instantly, my clients for being so kind and understanding and my ‘job’ being something I can do lying down! (Although I’ve MASSIVELY cut down my hours obvs)

I HAVE BEEN PRETTY RUBBISH AT THIS. Right now for I HAVE BEEN PRETTY RUBBISH AT THIS.
Right now for me i have just realised I am tired and haven’t had a holiday since Christmas 🤦‍♀️
So things have felt hard. 
And this week things have felt tiring - even though I am ovulating and should be riding an energy high. BIG sign for me to rest and slow down.
And that is ok. 
It’s ok to be tired.
Ok to be finding life hard. 
Well - I am learning to be ok with it 🤣
So this is a reminder to myself and to you. 
Self-care, as much as you might cringe at the word, is ONLY something you can do. No one else can do this for you. 
It's your job, your responsibility to have boundaries, rest, say no, say yes, to learn (*cough* how to be a black ally) grow and do what fills you up.
And I have been historically TERRIBLE at this - but I am learning and I am getting better.
Anyone else needed to hear this today? ----

THE BEFORE & AFTER = BOTH AWESOME. Both taken in a THE BEFORE & AFTER = BOTH AWESOME.
Both taken in about 30 seconds of each other.
One celebrating the glory of high waisted leggings, post-workout glow and a flattering camera angle.
The other celebrates the tummy that grew and made room for my baby...and constantly houses my intestines, liver, bladder, fat, muscles, spine and all my other organs!!
Both are great. Both are different.I love both.

But it’s taken a while to get there because we have this weird ‘body heirarchy’. A hierarchy of 'acceptable body types' with thin, perfect and often white, at the top and goodness knows at the bottom - is something we all contribute too with our words, comments, criticisms.
But all bodies are bodies and they give us all life.
HOW AMAZING IS THAT!?
So I don't want your comments about how great or not I look. We don't need to reinforce the 'ladder' of what is acceptable or not. >>> Instead, tell me ONE THING that you are so happy about when it comes to your body?
Are you happy with your lungs and breath?Legs moving? Eyes that see? Heartbeats? A tongue that tastes CHOCOLATE?

*Also to acknowledge that although the ideal is that all bodies are beautiful and equal the reality of white privilege and many other oppressive structures are ever-present. I am not an expert on this at all but I am learning, being humbled - and honestly ashamed - constantly by my own ignorance and wanted to point that out. We have so much work to do to make body equality a thing - in shape, ability and size yes - but also in skin colour so that our brothers and sisters with black or coloured skin are no longer living under our white privledge oppression and systems. We/I have so much work to do on this too.💔

INTERMITTENT FASTING... AND MAKING THE MOST OF LOC INTERMITTENT FASTING... AND MAKING THE MOST OF LOCKDOWN BRUNCHES.
Sure it is just the 3 of us and no pals are coming round, but each Saturday its pile of buckwheat pancakes, some berries, maple syrup, nut butter and OF COURSE normal butter.
While 'Intermittent Fasting' is oh so fashionable in the health world (where you skip breakfast and often just drink coffee instead), I RARELY tell my clients To skip breakfast/don't know if I ever had said that.
I never skip breakfast as for me and MOST women it sends the body into stress mode and they can't handle it. So I listen to my body and cycle and do the following:
+ Finish eating for the day by ‪6-7pm‬ at latest - no more eating after that
+ Eat a proper breakfast ‪between 8-10pm‬ so that I can getting a 12-16 (rarely do I go that long) hour fast without skipping breakfast. (If you are super tired and stressed with any hormonal issue eat within an hour of waking!)
🍳 
I don't follow trends or blog posts or fashion. I follow my body and most of the time my body wants brunch ;)
So I encourage you to do the same...and also to eat breakfast and not skip this important meal!
Hands up 🤚 if you’re a breakfast fan!!

PEOPLE USED TO ASK ME THIS ALL THE TIME. It was em PEOPLE USED TO ASK ME THIS ALL THE TIME.
It was embarrassing and to be honest it got to the point where I just lied about it to them cos it just felt SO awkward.
And what is it that people asked?
When I was due.
Now, this was nearly 10 ago with no boyfriend and no chance of being pregnant.
But I did look pregnant - often.I did look somewhere between 5-7 months pregnant regularly.
Why? 
Cos my stomach would just go crazy and I would get instantly bloated very quickly.
It was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and annoying.
So, in the end, I just lied and said I was just to stop all the cringing and awkwardness.

Now - I just don't get bloated like that anymore...adn the last time I was asked when I was due was ...well..near the time I was due with my son.

I regularly start or end my day with a fresh cup of cocoa....or squares of 85% chocolate!
Why? Cocoa is a fabulous source of polyphenols which research is telling us more and more good things about. 
Sometimes I make it the old school way of warming a dairy free milk and adding some honey. Some days I grab the blender and blender it up with cocoa, knob if butter, mct oil, collagen and some added prebiotic fibre and xylitol.
Either way cocoa everyday.
