This is often something we think to ourselves when we are scrolling through social media or hearing about some celebrity being interviewed whose written 3 recipes book, release 3 albums, does charity work, is a TV presenter every week, and has just written their memoir…and have 3 young kids.⁠
You think - how the f*ck are they getting so much done?⁠
I’ve thought this before. I’ve seen other online business wonders who are mothers, running big companies, have millions of kids, foster, and home school everyone whilst doing a big house renovation and I think - what is wrong with me - how do they do it? What secret am I missing?⁠
And you know what - people actually ask and tell me the same every week. ⁠

THE 4 THINGS THAT SLOWED DOWN MY PROGRESS AND HEAL THE 4 THINGS THAT SLOWED DOWN MY PROGRESS AND HEALING.

I can now see after 5+ years of clinical experience, my research/study, hindsight and from working with 300+ people - that I could have seen results in my own body with so much more SPEED and EASE.

Below are the 4 things that held me back from just enjoying and living my life. The things that made my healing process so much more difficult, complicated or slower than it needed to be.

I struggled with gut issues since a child, and even then no one knew what was wrong. Everyone thought I had celiac disease (I don't) or chrons (I don't) or was anxious... which I was but still!

In my early twenties, I took it into my own hands, changed my diet, removed sugar etc... BUT I only made progress in my belly, energy, and health after about 7 years of trying 'really hard'.

I did complicated gut protocols (the GAPS or AIP diet) for years with only a slight benefit. Cut out lots of food without much effect. All the while I was getting NEW symptoms. WTF?!

Now with hindsight and 2 years of nutritional science study and tons of clinical experience, I clearly see what was holding me back:

1. I was just trying lots of random stuff and whilst I was very well-meaning I was also clueless as to what the problem actually was. I was putting in the effort yet not seeing the exponential results the internet promised.

2. Dr Google was my main advisor. Every time I searched or read a blog post I altered my approach which meant I was inconsistent and again, didn't really know what to focus on. 

3. I was scared to invest in myself. This has been a BIG one for me and held me back for YEARS as I had this idea that I 'should' just be able to figure it all out on my own that I should never spend money on my health, that I should put money toward more deserving causes rather than on my own health/body.

4. I cared too much about what people thought. Won't being sugar-free annoy other people? What about my partner who loves pasta? Won't they think I am odd for not drinking alcohol anymore? What will my family say when I say I am on 'another' health kick? 

I share these things with you so that you don't do the same thing.
