  • 150 ml strong black tea - hot
  • 3-4 tsp raw honey
  • 2 heaped tsp gram masala
  • 200 ml almond milk or other milk
  • 2 tsp coconut oil warm latte only

Instructions

  • Warm the almond milk gently in a pan and then in a blender blend all the ingredients until frothy. Taste and add more sweetness if required.
  • ICED LATTE
  • Omit the coconut oil. Use almond milk straight from the fridge and add a handful of ice cubes into the blender and blend until frothy. Pour over a glass filled with ice.

Notes

Chai tea need to be quite sweet for the flavour to come through so adjust sweetness to preference.
Use quality gram masala, I used an organic ones containing cumin, cassia, coriander, cardamon, clove and nutmeg. But some mixes will have chilli in so vary according to taste.
This would taste great with coconut milk too.
Make caffeine free by using decaf tea.
